We actually met Aleksandra & Karol via instagram! They are originally from Poland but were staying in Iceland for a work study for the summer. We chatted a bit and decided to hook up for a little adventure session in Southern Iceland.
We met super early in the a.m. at our airbnb and made a plan for the day. Then we headed to our first stop which was a secret waterfall location for some portraits. It was super cold but these two braved the temps and had the best time even though cold water was spraying them! haha!
Our next stop was the famous black sand beach, Reynisfjara. Before we left, we had read some crazy things about this beach like the sneaker waves. We saw some video and honestly, we were a little scared. However, we kept our heads on a swivel and were pretty lucky to have not encountered any sneaker waves. Whew!
Reynisfjara is a pretty amazing beach! We were in awe when we arrived and there were endless photo opportunities. Aleksandra and Karol had a blast on the beach and were such a super fun couple to be around! They were up for anything and even hopped up on this big rock with giant waves crashing against it.
We made good friends that day and we’re hoping to visit them soon in Poland! 🙂
