Intimate At Home Engagement Photography // Brooke & Carter’s Home Engagement Session

We absolutely LOVE home engagement photography sessions!!! For one thing, couples are naturally more comfortable in their homes and with their belongings. They also sometimes have their fur babies there as well which makes it extra special.

And Brooke & Carter’s session was no different. These two were the best…they did their own thing and we just captured their cuteness!

Of course, their house looks like a Restoration Hardware Catalogue so there was no shortness of great locations for photos. First, we started with photos of them in their living room with their kitty, Ceilo. Then Carter spontaneously picked up Brooke and spun her around. So much fun!!

Also, these two even have their own handshake which you can see in a couple photos below in the kitchen. It’s really adorable! Speaking of their kitchen, it’s one of our dreams to have one that looks like this! One day…

Then after some super fun shots in the kitchen, we all headed upstairs to get some shots with Nubbs, their other fur baby. Just like children, Nubbs and Ceilo weren’t down for a photoshoot, however, we managed to get a couple sweet shots with them before they high tailed it. Brooke and Carter were really so much fun as they even did some acrobatics and had a pillow fight! All of our favorite types of engagement photography in one session!

But it wasn’t all over yet! After that, we headed up to the attic where Carter proposed to Brooke. For the proposal, he spent hours decorating the roof and walls of the attic with string lights. OMG so romantic!! Of course, we had to recreate this moment a little bit with some nice portraits of them up there.

We love to incorporate nature wherever we can, so we ended their engagement session in a local park. Even though Spring hasn’t spring we got some great photos in the field.

Then after our epic engagement session, Brooke and Carter invited us out to dinner and we had the best time getting to know them even better. Of course, we absolutely cannot wait for their wedding in June at The Greenhouses at Audrey’s Farmhouse.
